Earlier this month, Tracey joined the Chatham Chatham Job Centre Plus in hosting the annual Christmas Jobs Fair at the Pentagon Centre in Chatham. As well as the Jobs Fair, Tracey also hosted a Disability Confident breakfast in the morning to help promote the government initiative to local employers and encourage them to sign-up to the Disability Confident Scheme.
Tracey said: “It was a pleasure to work with the Job Centre Plus in co-hosting the Annual Jobs Fair. As always, it was great to support this event and help jobseekers in Medway by giving them the opportunity to meet with employers and training providers to ask questions and apply for positions on the day.
I was pleased to use this event as an opportunity to promote and share information with employers around the Government’s Disability Confident Scheme, which encourages businesses to sign up as a Disability Confident employer and help remove barriers to disabled people and those with a long term health condition in employment. Both events were a great success and I will forward to working alongside the Job Centre Plus on many such events in the future.”
