The most correspondence Tracey receives relates to local infrastructure and over-development of our green spaces. Quite simply, our much-loved green spaces need safeguarding while ensuring proper investment in our infrastructure before any sustainable development gets the green light.
Although these are matters for the relevant local authorities, Tracey has consistently campaigned for funding locally and in Westminster for upgrades to local roads, whether that be the much needed upgrades to the M2 J3 in Chatham or the A20 corridor in Aylesford and Larkfield, working to ensure our villages do not become rat runs or improving road safety measures across the constituency.
Tracey has also represented the views of residents to the relevant local authorities, opposing a number of large and completely unsuitable proposals to build on Capstone Valley in Lordswood and land off Hermitage Lane in Aylesford, plans to double the size of Eccles while developing our green spaces in Ditton. Both Medway Council and Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council are in the process of finalising their Local Plans, albeit at different stages, and Tracey has engaged with them throughout making sure residents' voices are heard.
